I’m Bailee, a proud mom to four wonderful kids, aged 3 to 10. As a homeschooling family, we hold our values close, and I’m always amazed by the way my children support one another. Last year, I found myself chatting with my husband about the bamboo clothing market. I noticed that I wasn’t seeing much that resonated with us, and I thought, “Wouldn’t it be incredible to design our own bamboo clothing for my kiddos and their friends?”

Bamboo clothing appeals to us for many reasons, but for our family, it really shines in terms of the sensory aspect, especially considering we’re a household rich in neurodiversity. Initially, I hesitated, thinking the market was oversaturated and that the community could be tough. I worried that putting myself out there might lead to being overlooked. But my husband, always my biggest cheerleader, encouraged me to push through those fears.

Last year marked a turning point for us; it was the first time in two years that we weren’t frequently visiting the hospital with one of our kids. Things began to slow down, and I found myself yearning for something to call my own—a creative outlet to plan and bring to life. That’s where Slumber Sprouts comes in!

We started as a ready-to-ship shop, but out of necessity (and some learning curves along the way), we’ve transitioned into offering preorders. It’s been a year of experimentation, and with your support and understanding, I’m confident we’ll refine our offerings to better meet your needs.

Regardless of where this journey takes us, whether it flourishes or takes a different path, I’ll forever cherish the friendships I’ve formed, the knowledge I’ve gained, and the joy of designing clothing that meets my children’s sensory needs.
